About SEPS Pharma

André Remans, Chairman


André holds a master in applied economics from the Catholic University of Leuven. Before co-founding SEPS Pharma, he held business development, sales and marketing positions at Olivetti, IC Systems and Data General. André is former president of UNIZO Genk (1993-2000) and UNIZO Limburg (1999-2007) introducing broad experience as an entrepreneur in financial and people management. Since 1982 he founded Remans BVBA and Groep Remans NV. Current Board positions include SEPS Pharma, INC Holding, Syntra Limburg and Xios Hogeschool.

Yves Gonnissen (on behalf of Regon BVBA), Chief Executive Officer


Yves is a bio-chemical engineer graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven and holds a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical technology from Ghent University. Yves' Ph.D. work focused on the use of coprocessing via spray drying as a formulation platform to improve the compactability of various drugs. In 2002 he joined Johnson & Johnson PRD (Janssen Pharmaceutica). As a pharmaceutical product developer he was working on the formulation and process development via spray drying of Intelence™, a novel NNRTI HIV drug. In 2004 Yves joined Schering-Plough as a quality disposition controller, while in 2007 he co-founded SEPS Pharma.

Nico Vandervelpen (on behalf of Immocom NV)


Immocom is a management company of LRM while LRM is a profit driven investor. It offers entrepreneurs a unique combination of venture capital, project financing and real estate. Nico holds a master in commercial engineering and an MBA. Besides that he followed several management courses throughout his career, which he started within Ernst & Young (1998 - 2007) before joining LRM as head of life sciences. Current board and observer positions include Apitope, SEPS Pharma, Mubio, LSDC and LTL.be.

Kris Motmans (on behalf of MC Services Belgium CVBA)


Kris holds a Ph.D. in medical sciences and received his biomedical training at Ghent and Hasselt University and at Harvard Medical School (Boston, US). Through his management consultancy firm, MC-Services Belgium, he assists early stage healthcare companies in IP, IR/PR, business development and general management. Prior to founding MC-Services, he held positions as IP manager at Johnson & Johnson, financial analyst at PuilaetcoDewaay and managing director at Beta-Cell. He is co-founder of MedInvents, Beldiphar, Bikesport and LKG Beheer. Current board positions include LKG Beheer, Bikesport, MuBio and SEPS Pharma.

Ann-Pascale Bijnens (on behalf of Hasselt University)


Hasselt University is an independent university that offers an active education tailored to the student, top research in spearhead fields, and entrepreneurship and innovation through its role as an academic think tank and through a pronounced international orientation. In 2007 an Interface Office UHasselt was founded to stimulate the valorisation of knowledge within the university and related academies in Limburg. Ann-Pascale holds a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from the Catholic University of Leuven. As post-doc researcher and later assistant professor at the University of Maastricht (2000-2007), she was responsible for several research programs, where she gained experience in acquiring grants, negotiating contracts and coordinating international projects. In 2007 she started as the director of the Interface Office UHasselt.

Roger Leyssens, Independent Director


Roger holds a master in economic sciences from the Catholic University of Leuven in 1980. He started his professional career within Dexia within the Retail Bank as a responsible for sales- and commercial development (1982-1998) and was in charge of the general management of a network of retail branches (1998-2003) . After having been in charge of a strategic post-merger (with Artesia Banking Corp.) change project (2003-2005), he became in 2005 the General HR Manager of Dexia Bank. Since 2006 he joined the Executive Committee and from March 2007 he's a member of the Management Board and of the Board of Directors of Dexia Bank. Currently he is chairman of the Board of Directors of 'het Pensioenfonds DEXIA OFP' and chairman of the Board of Directors of 'het aanvullend pensioenfonds Dexia OFP'.

Johan De Turck, Independent Director


Johan holds a master in biochemistry and a master in business and financial sciences. Throughout his career he was managing director of Lilac, Danone Belgium, Debic, Sodiaal Benelux and IDB Benelux. Since 2004 he is managing director of Kaasbrik. Current Board positions include SEPS Pharma, Noliko and Syntra Vlaanderen.
