SEPS Pharma's 'Highway-to-clinic' program encompasses the development of oral and parenteral liquid formulations of drug candidates and prodrugs for preclinical and early human studies. This program is developed for 'difficult-to-formulate' drugs by SEPS Pharma in collaboration with Marc Francois (Pharmula-Consultancy) and Willy Dries (Formula-Support), former employees of Johnson&Johnson PRD (Janssen Pharmaceutica, Belgium).
The program encloses screening and evaluation of various concepts for oral and parenteral administration of difficult to formulate drugs:
Concept 1: (Acidic) aqueous solutions with HP-β-CD or SBE-β-CD.
Concept 2: (Acidic) solutions in organic solvent(s) and organic solvent mixtures.
Concept 3: Combination of concept 1 and 2.
Concept 4: Aqueous microsuspensions.
Concept 5: Aqueous nanosuspensions. |
